Conference - Engaging Africa/Engaging Africans: Knowledge, Representation, Politics

An exciting international, interdisciplinary, intercultural conference is being held at Victoria University's City Campus in Melbourne from 2 - 4 December, 2010. Registrations are open to all with an interest in the conference theme.

The theme of this year's conference reflects an emphasis on exploring how Australia/ns and Africa/ns are engaging each other at the levels of governments, institutions, cultures, communities and the arts. There are many panels and papers dealing with African communities in different Australian contexts as well as Australia's deepening engagement with Africa.
