Supporting Cultural Diversity in Aged Care

The Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing is funded by the Department of Health and Aged Care under the Partners in Culturally Appropriate Care (PICAC) program and supported by Benetas. The Centre provides expertise in culturally inclusive policy and practices for the aged services sector. We have over 25 years of experience in supporting aged care providers to address the needs of older people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Partners in Culturally Appropriate Care (PICAC)

Partners in Culturally Appropriate Care (PICAC) is an initiative funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care to:

Improve partnerships between aged care service providers, culturally and linguistically diverse communities and the Department of Health and Aged Care.

Ensure the special needs of older people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds are identified and addressed.

The Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing currently receives project funding from the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care to administer the Partners in Culturally Appropriate Care (PICAC) program in Victoria.

The PICAC initiative provides funding to an organisation in each state and territory.
