Palliative Care Cultural Diversity Forum
National Palliative Care Week 2012 will be celebrated this year from 20 – 26 May.
Palliative care is looking after a loved one who has a terminal illness and is an important step in a person’s life. Palliative Care Victoria will be hosting the Palliative Care Cultural Diversity Forum on Monday, 21 May 2012 in Parkville to improve awareness and use of palliative care services for people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
The opening speech will be delivered by Palliative Care Victoria’s patron Sir James Gobbo. The forum will also see other community leaders including Pino Migliorino, Chair, Federation of Ethnic Communities Council of Australia (FECCA) talking about the importance of palliative care amongst diverse communities
